The "Tee/Top" by Wardrobe by me, 30% off until 10/17. use code EASYTEE

Another Wardrobe by me pattern, the "Daisy Top".

I had the privilege to test another great top, this top is user friendly, and can be mixed with some of Wardrobe by me's other patterns.

The pattern has the option of using knit or woven fabric. I chose to use a poly chiffon fabric because I like how chiffon flows. I did use knit fabric for the neck and arm bands.

The pattern was fairly easy to follow, well written instructions along with illustrations. This design is in line with many of Wardrobe by me's patterns, in that you can pair this top along with the Haute skinny pants and the Haute skirt. I paired my Tee/Top with Wardrobe by me's cami pattern and wore the cami underneath as the chiffon is shear. It had been a long time that I wore jeans, this top is a great topper for my jeans.

Thank you Wardrobe by me for another stable to my wardrobe.

Wardrobe by me, pattern desings I have made.

I love testing patterns, love to help out, and learn new techniques in sewing.

I have been testing for various designers for 2 years now. I am always searching for that perfect fit, so I can be happy with the garments I make.

I recently discovered a designer, new to me, I love her designs, "Wardobe by me". I started testing for Christina Albeck, owner and designer of Wardrobe by me, for a few months now.

You can find the 3 patterns listed in this blog, the Haute Skinny pant pattern, Mirri dress, and the Haute Skinny Skirt at, Warrobe by me on Etsy.

My first test project with Wardrobe by me was the "Haute Skinny Pants". I live in leggings because I have a hard time finding pants that fit. When I tested the Haute skinny pants, I could not believe what a perfeect fit for me. I did not have to alter the pattern at all.

The Haute skinny pants has a hidden side zipper. The black pants I made out of ponte double knit fabric. The pink and black pant I made out of a cotton/lycra, woven fabric.

                                                               The Haute Skinny Pant

The second pattern I tested for Wardrobe by me, was the Mirri dress. Again, what a fantastic fit. The only altering I did to the pattern was add an inch to the length to both the Mirri dress and top. I love this dress, very flattering, it helps hide any lumps or bumps, lol. The red Mirri dress was made out of a poly knit fabric, The pink top was also made out of a knit fabric, as too the black and white geometric design dress. The Mirri pink top is paired with the Haute Skinny Pant, a good combination, that's why their designed by Wardrobe by me, you can build a wadrobe with all her designs.

                                                                      The Mirri dress/top

The thrid pattern I tested was the, Haute Skinny Skirt. Once again, what a fantastic fit. I did not have to alter the pattern at all. The skirt has a hidden back zipper, I used woven fabric for the side panels and a scuba knit fabric for the front and back panels. The skirt can be made without a zipper if made using all knit fabric.

Thank you Christina Albeck from Warrobe by me, for designing great flattering, well fitted, patterns in which I can build a wardrobe from................................Synthia L Gerritson

The Layla purse, by Cozy Nest designs.

Another sewing project, The "Layla" purse.

I have had the priveledge to test Cozy Nest's newest pattern release, the Layla purse.

We started testing the Layla two months ago, but do to unforseen supplier holdbacks, we couldn't release until today, when all handle supplies were in and ready to be sold. These metal handles go with the Layla purse.

So, in refreshing my memory of the making of my purse, can't remember off hand, lol. But, will add more to this blog. I am just excited to present my purse and the release of the Layla.

The purse has a removable shoulder strap, inside zippered pocket, and plenty of room for many items.

I love.....love...this bag. I hope you do too.

You can find the pattern at Cozy Nest Designs and on Craftsy. You will also have the opportunity of viewing the gallery of the other tester's purses............slg
